LARRY "BUCK" BISBEE ....
is a former DJ turned record producer/promoter and owner of the Countryfolk Music Theatre in Maine,...USA...Larry started out in radio in 1967 at WKTJ in Farmington, Maine,.... Just out of Broadcasting school in Boston, he worked there four different times over the next 35 years.."It was great fun over the years." ... He reminisced about all the country singers he interviewed at the county fair each year, including ....JEANNE C. RILEY, ......JOHNNY TILLOTSON..... and others.............................. When "Doc" and CHICKIE WILLIAMS came to town back in the 60's, Larry was the front man, setting up the promos and advertising for them................................

He now works with independent artists in Maine, Tennessee and Arizona at his Countryfolk Music Theatre, supporting their efforts for a musical career in any way he can...

Larry's free, traditional country, bluegrass, folk and gospel "Country Sunday" show draws 20-40 musicians and songwriters each week .......(they've had as many as 58), .......and net profits from the sale of CDs support their annual Youth Country Music Scholarship Awards ($500.00 - $1000.00)...

Larry, in cooperation with Dick Stevens of MBTV-11 in Farmington, Maine, in 2003 helped develop the popular Musicians of Maine TV Show, to offer Maine musicians and songwriters a statewide venue to showcase their talent. The local show after the first year grew to statewide viewership in 114 Maine cities and towns and 214,000 households.

Larry's songwriting progressed over the years and in 2002 he released his first CD entitled "Country Kissin".Larry wrote the lyrics with Jim Littlefield and Margaret Arsenault .Their popular song,"Old Uncle Henry's", placed second in 2003 (in 2005 it was selected to be used in a PBS TV show segment) and "Saddlebg Joe" was named 2004 Folk Song of the Year at the Downeast Country Music Awards Show. .

"Stand Up Tall My Veteran" co-written with Ken Wentworth and Harry King was awarded the 2005 Patriotic Song of the Year by the Pine Tree State CMA. He's also a writer of Cowboy Poetry, and has produced "Tales Of The West", a CD of western prairie prose and cowboy poetry.........

Larry feels it has been a great ride as a DJ, performer and songwriter, and he continues working with these talented musicians in Maine, Yuma, Arizona and Nashville, Tennessee.....He has performed in country music shows with Tommy Cash, Julie Taylor, Erin Hay, Stevie Cee, Ron Wayne Atwood (Nashville recording artists), Shane Worley, Everard Dodge and Roseanna Rogers, Shawna Edwards and Corey Bonnevie, Country Jim Palmer, Hall of Fame members Ginger Mae Dyer and "Slim" Andrews, Ernie Ashworth and many others, He also has an independent western film project in the works.
